Detailed Itinenary
Day 01: Delhi - Shimla
Arrive Delhi and later transfer by road to Shimla (343 kms/8hrs approx.) the former summer capital of British India, set amidst the snow capped Shivalik Mountains which offers some of the most stunning views of the mighty Himalayas. Arrive & check in hotel. Rest of the day free at leisure. Overnight stay at Hotel Sukh Sagar.
Day 02: Shimla
After Breakfast proceed for the sightseeing, visit Kufri situated at an altitude of 2500 meters just an hours drive from Shimla. Later in the afternoon take a walking tour of Shimla, visit the Jakoo hills which offer a panoramic view of the town, visit the Vice Regal Lodge and walk down the Mall Road. Overnight stay at Hotel Sukh Sagar.
Day 03: Shimla - Manali
After Breakfast proceed by road to Manali (274 kms / 7hrs) a picture-perfect hill resort at an altitude of 1,929 meters. Set amidst pine-clad mountains, is a scattered hamlet, which comprises this picturesque summer resort. Arrive & check in hotel. Rest of the day free at leisure. Overnight stay at Hotel Glacier.
Day 04: Manali
After Breakfast, take a walking tour of Manali, visiting the 450 years old temple dedicated to Hadimba Devi, which has some excellent woodcarving. Then visit the Tibetan Monastery and the handicraft center. The rest of the day at leisure or walk to the nearby picturesque village of Vashisht known for its hot sulphur springs.
Overnight stay at Hotel Glacier.
Day 05: Manali
In the morning visit the Solang Valley and the Rohtang Pass, 51 km from Manali at an altitude of 3978 meters (subject to weather conditions). Overnight stay at Hotel Glacier.
Day 06: Manali - Chandigarh
In the morning after breakfast drive to Chandigarh (272 kms/7 hrs drive approx.).Chandigarh, the beautiful capitol of Punjab and Haryana, is on the edge of the Sivalik Hills, the outermost edge of the Himalayas. On arrival check-in at the hotel. Evening is free for leisure. Overnight stay at Hotel Sunbeam.
Day 07: Chandigarh - Delhi
Early Morning after breakfast drive to Delhi. Arrive Delhi & proceed for onward destination.
